Dónall Johnston is a former Barrister and Managing Partner of the firm. Prior to establishing Johnston Solicitors, Dónall worked in one of Ireland's leading commercial law firms on complex litigation and bankruptcy cases.
Prior to joining one of Ireland's leading commercial law firms, Dónall practiced as a Barrister in the Law Library and has extensive advocacy experience across a wide range of areas including Criminal Law, Family Law, Revenue prosecutions, Personal Injury and Judicial Review. Dónall is head of our family law department which is run in conjunction with Emma Ryan Partner. Donall has specialised in family law for over 15 years and has wide experience in all aspects separation and divorce. Dónall has written for the Irish Criminal Bar Association and has had articles published by the European Commission academic network on Criminal Law on "Mandatory sentences in Ireland in relation to Criminal Matters" Dónall is a member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association, Irish Criminal Bar Association and Family Lawyers Association and is a qualified pilot with a particular interest in aviation law.
